Who Wins the AI Battle for Real-World Productivity? 🤖

Recently, Perplexity AI announced 1-year free access for Airtel users. Luckily, I had just switched from Jio to Airtel — talk about perfect timing! 😄
As a Product Business Analyst, I often find myself thrown into impromptu meetings with CEOs, clients, or stakeholders where I need to quickly conceptualize a feature, write a crisp user story, or document a PRD — on the spot. In those moments, AI tools aren't just optional — they’re survival tools. 🚀

So, out of curiosity (and a bit of nerdy fun), I recently tested ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity side-by-side for tasks like:

  • Product documentation

  • Researching complex topics

  • Brainstorming design ideas

  • Writing user stories

Here’s what I observed (real chat links below for your own comparison 🔍):

🏆 ChatGPT (Clear Winner):
1. Output is refined and precise, even when my prompt is a little vague.
2. Understands context across multiple messages and builds on it.
3. Auto-suggests questions based on past discussions in last— feels like a real teammate.
4. Great at handling ambiguous or strategic queries, especially useful in high-stakes business scenarios.

🤖 Gemini & Perplexity:
1. Too much information sometimes — good for fact dumps, but not always useful in real-time decision-making.
2. Fails to retain context or flow, which makes back-and-forth less productive.
3. No smart question suggestions or follow-up thinking unless prompted again.

📌 Bottom line?
While Gemini and Perplexity are solid tools for exploration, ChatGPT wins
when it comes to execution. It feels like it truly understands the "why" behind my question, not just the "what."
In my daily product role, where clarity, speed, and output matter more than just information, GPT consistently outperforms.

💡 Bonus Insight: The most amazing part?
I didn’t rewrite or tweak a single line in this blog manually. I simply jotted my rough thoughts in Notes, pasted them into ChatGPT, and this post came out — word-for-word. Just did some formatting tweaks for LinkedIn (thanks to its formatting limitations 😅).
